Etsy Advice

Now that Christmas is over, (and once I get my house back in order) I am working towards opening an Etsy shop. What I would love is some advice. So, here are some questions for all you Etsy crafters out there:
  • What do you find sells best?
  • How do you decide on prices?
  • How do you decide on shipping charges?
  • Do you get many custom orders?
  • Do seasonal items sell well?

OK, thats all the questions I can think of right now. I would love to hear from you all with any advice you have! Thank You!

Hi,
Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment.
I sell at Craft shows. Its hard to say what sells, seems each show you have different sales. Some shows 1 thing will sell and the next show that item may not sell, something else will sell.
I've found if I have maybe 5 different items I do better. And your not busy making 20 different items.
I try to keep my prices low as possible. You need a few bigger price items, as well as med. price and sm. prices. Keep your rental fee in mind and you'll have to up prices to get it back.
I too wonder how you know postal fee. Hope this has been helpful.
Visit soon.
