After going through a list of very practical advice, he gets into the scriptural reasons for being disciplined. Essentially, that self discipline starts when we realize this:
You are not your own, you were bought with a price
1 Corinthians 6:19, 20.
He explains that "We have been purchased at such a high cost & you will begin to seek a holy life when you begin to understand the price Jesus Christ paid for you." This message was exactly what I needed to hear. God is so good!

i am thoroughly disappointed because our itunes account won't work! We have a gift card balance on there and everything but it won't work at all... i will put this on my list, in the effect that it rights itself!
what great suggestions. Thanks for the information. I think that self discipline is the key to so many of the areas that I need to work on. Maybe I've just been attacking from the wrong angle.
